XTERRA World Championship 2026
📅 October 8-11, 2026Wild West XTERRA comes to Ruidoso for the XTERRA World Championship and 30th anniversary celebration. Athletes tackle high-altitude swimming, biking, and trail running around Grindstone Lake and Lincoln National Forest.
Ski Apache
📅 2025-2026 Season: Late November - Early AprilOwned by the Mescalero Apache Tribe, Ski Apache boasts 750 skiable acres across 55 runs, all accessible via 11 lifts including New Mexico's only eight-passenger gondola. The 2025-2026 season opens in late November/early December.
